Obama plants tame Dem in Indiana Senate race

Yesterday, the world was "shocked" to hear that Indiana senator Evan Bayh wouldn't run for a third term in 2012. His timing was interesting as he quit just one day before the deadline to submit signatures to run in the Dem's senatorial primary.
Immediately, an ambitious liberal restaurant owner named Tamyra d'Ipolito started scrambling to get together enough signatures to be added to the ballot.
And discovered something shocking.
Baron Hill, a congressman from Indiana's 9th District, has had his signatures ready for weeks. Even though the Bayh announcement was a "shock".
And oddly enough, Rahm Emanuel was in Indiana fundraising for Hill just a couple weeks ago. As White House Chief of Staff, he's not everyone's first choice for a stump speech.
Most likely Obama knew Bayh planned to leave and personally selected Hill for the Senate seat. Hill can get elected in Indiana, and has supported the president on most of his radical initiatives. D'Ipolito is a left-wing head case -- she's claimed the Democratic Party is driven by sexism -- but you have to feel bad for her. Thanks to Obama's election-rigging shenanigans, she'll be lucky if she makes the ballot.
This isn't the first time Obama has shown contempt for the people in his own party. In Illinois, he conspired with Emanuel and Valerie Jarrett to fill his former Senate seat with someone White House-approved. Democrats in Indiana ought to be furious with Obama right now.
