The stimulus is racist!

We already know that the stimulus has been a spectacular failure. Last week's unchanged unemployment numbers clearly showed that. But did you know that the stimulus is also racist??
Hispanic and black businesses are receiving a disproportionately small number of federal stimulus contracts, creating a rising chorus of demands for the Obama administration to be more inclusive and more closely track who receives government-financed work.
Latinos and blacks have faced obstacles to winning government contracts long before the stimulus. They own 6.8 and 5.2 percent of all businesses, respectively, according to census figures. Yet Latino-owned business have received only 1.7 percent of $46 billion in federal stimulus contracts recorded in U.S. government data, and black-owned businesses have received just 1.1 percent.
Racist minority interest groups, like the Latino supremacist La Raza, cleaned up thanks to the stimulus. Meanwhile minority-owned businesses, who actually contribute something to the economy, got the shaft. Black and Hispanic companies are also often located in poorer areas and were hit harder by the recession.

Surprise! More wicked hypocrisy from the Justice Department

Today's instance comes from the Civil Rights Division (another shocker). The DOJ has refused to investigate ACORN. It has swept the Black Panthers' revolting voter intimidation in Philadelphia under the rug. But when some loser at his computer threatens La Raza, the big guns come out.
Vincent Johnson of Brick, New Jersey stands charged with sending threatening e-mails to several pro-amnesty illegal immigrant groups, including La Raza, the Puerto Rican Legal Defense Fund, and the League of United Latin American Citizens. The e-mails contain violent threats, but they could have easily been handled by state police. "Nutjob Sends Threatening E-mails" isn't exactly a shocking development. Most political organizations get them every day.
But when Obama's cronies at La Raza are under attack, you can be sure the entire Civil Rights Division will swing into action. (Republican voters in Philadelphia are a different story.) Of course, this entire case has nothing to do with civil rights. The e-mails threaten illegal aliens, not Hispanics. File this under "Hypocrisy" while we stare at our watches and wait for the DOJ to lift a finger against ACORN.

Illegal alien extremists dancing in the streets thanks to Obama

Yes, La Raza is clicking its heels today. Barack Obama has always been an extremist on the issue of illegal immigration, whether he tries to hide it or not. Now comes word that, at a time when our southern border is still plagued by illegal aliens and drug violence, Obama's budget cuts funding to the Border Patrol.
It's our largest federal budget in history at over $3 trillion, but one thing Obama doesn't have money for is border security. His budget will reduce the number of Border Patrol agents, even though the entire 2,000 mile expanse is guarded by only 20,000 agents. The president is also pulling $226 million from the virtual fence being built along the border, even though the fence has had great success at keeping illegal aliens out.
So what are Obama's real priorities? His stimulus gave millions of dollars to La Raza and the League of United Latin American Citizens, two extremist groups sympathetic to illegal aliens. A bill introduced by Rep. Luis Gutierrez is winding through Congress that would give amnesty to illegals already in the United States. And the Justice Department is currently at war with Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Arizona, whose aggressive tactics have gone a long way towards battling illegal immigration.

Obama Maxes Out Our Credit Card

File this under galling hypocrisy. Barack Obama has spent our nation so far into debt, Congress is rushing to raise the national debt ceiling. Right now the government is legally barred from accruing a debt greater than $12 trillion. With his enormous spending spree underway, Obama is slated to exceed that debt. If Congress doesn't either cut spending or increase the debt ceiling by $1 trillion or so, the government could go broke and lose its triple-A credit status.

You didn't think the profligate Barack Obama was going to cut spending, did you?

But the president hasn't always been so reckless with the country's finances. Back in 2006, President Bush asked Congress to raise the debt ceiling, primarily to finance the continuing military escalation in Iraq. With righteous indignation, an outraged Senator Obama took to the floor. "Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren," he railed. "America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership." Although domestic spending increased between 2001 and 2008, Bush's government debt was spent primarily fighting the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Obama is more than willing to mortgage America's future in order to bring one-sixth of the American economy under federal control with his health care bill, or to give the likes of the AARP and La Raza kickbacks with the stimulus. But accruing debt to fight for national security? That's just irresponsible.

Obama later voted "no" on the debt ceiling increase along with his fellow Democrats.

This is stunning hypocrisy, but it also has a large silver lining. Obama is trying to force feed his health care bill through the Senate in December, the same month in which the debt ceiling must be raised to prevent financial hell from breaking loose. A coalition of Republican and moderate Democrat senators, led by Dianne Feinstein of California, are drawing a line in the sand, demanding that Obama submit budget cuts before they'll vote to raise the debt ceiling. If more liberal Democrats protest this (which they likely will), there could be a contentious battle on the Senate floor which could drag on for days. This would take up a good deal of the precious time that Harry Reid needs to steer ObamaCare through before the Senate adjourns for Christmas break.

Will Obama's big spending come back to bite him this month? It seems almost too good to be true.
