Barack Obama's administration just keeps getting weirder. Apparently there was a slot open on the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. Given their feelings on Church and State, we're not sure why the White House needs such an office. Even stranger is why Obama decided to fill the position with an anti-Catholic.
Harry Knox is his name. He's famous for being a "militant homosexual" who couldn't be ordained because of his sexual proclivities so took to proselytizing. He was working at the pro-gay interest group Human Rights Campaign where he made a name for himself bashing Catholics. He has called out the Pope for "hurting people in the name of Jesus" and "endangering people's lives" for not supporting condom distribution in Africa. He has also, somewhat bizarrely, attacked the Knights of Columbus as "foot soldiers in a discredited army of oppression."
Knox wrote back in December 2008 that he was boycotting the swearing-in of the 44th President because a bigot from the other side of the fence (Revd. Rick Warren) was kicking off the proceedings with a prayer. Knox felt the pain for the entire gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community -- a constituency that played a big part in Obama's election. As BHO has yet to deliver on "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and another sexual orientation issues this appointment looks like just another political sop to his disappointed fan base.

But while good people can disagree on religious issues, the Office of Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships is supposed to bring people together. So, naturally Obama appoints a left-wing, divisive, anti-Catholic zealot.
