More fearmongering from the First Lady on obesity

Yesterday, you'll recall that Barack Obama established a creepy task force to battle obesity. For reasons unknown, Obama put his haughty wife Michelle in charge of the entire initiative. The First Lady immediately began freaking out the nation about fat people.
“A recent study put the health care cost of obesity-related diseases at $147 billion a year,” Mrs. Obama said. “This epidemic also impacts the nation’s security, as obesity is now one of the most common disqualifiers for military service.”
My God, obesity is a bank-busting epidemic that endangers our national security! How something like obesity that isn't a sickness can possibly be an epidemic isn't clear. Also not clear is how this is an urgent national security threat. Michelle Obama's husband twiddled his thumbs while democratic protesters were slaughtered in Iran. He sat by while that country built and tested nuclear-capable bombs. He scolded Republicans for being outraged about the attempted bombing on Christmas Day. But somehow obesity is a threat to our national security. This president's priorities are dangerously mixed up.
