215 days without a press conference

When George W. Bush went seven months without a press conference, liberals tore him to pieces. Obama has now gone 215 days without giving a press conference, longer than any time during Bush's eight years in office.
Barack Obama was elected to office promising to run the most transparent administration in history. Today we were again reminded that it was total bunk.
BHO is more than willing to appear in predictable one-on-one interviews with friendly journalists. But he's running scared from the White House press room, where reporters can grill the president. Of course, the last time the president held a press conference, he pointlessly insulted Sergeant Jim Crowley and the entire Cambridge Police Department, so maybe he's just playing it safe.
